Ashley Currey Obituary
September 23, 1962 - February 13, 2023
Franklin, Tennessee - Ashley Trapp Currey passed away unexpectedly on February 13, 2023. She was the daughter of Jean and the late George W. Trapp. Ashley grew up in Charlotte, NC and graduated from East Mecklenburg High School. She then went on to attend St. Mary's College and N.C. State in Raleigh, NC. Following college, she relocated to New York City where she enjoyed an extensive and successful career in the fashion industry. After leaving New York, Ashley married Christian Brownlee Currey and settled in Franklin, TN where she raised her family. She will be forever remembered for her dazzling smile, kind heart, and infectious humor. Ashley is survived by her mother, Jean Kane Allen; her children Charlotte and Owen Currey; her sisters Susan Trapp Bruckel (John) and Jeanie Trapp Blanchard (Bob) as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. A private family service will be held at River Circle Farm in Franklin, TN on March 11. In Ashley's memory, a donation to the Harpeth Conservancy would be greatly appreciated. I STILL SEE THE PRETTY GIRL STANDING ON FOLGER DRIVE -ALL DRESSED UP IN RIDING CLOTHES [CROP IN HAND ] --AWAITING A RIDE TO HORSEBACK RIDING LESSONS! HOWEVER IT SEEMS , IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE, THIS PRETTY CHILD TURNED INTO A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN--LOVED BY SO MANY ., JUST AS SHE LOVED SO MANY--BEAUTY OF BODY AND SOUL CAN NEVER BE FORGOTTEN --HER MEMORY IS A BLESSING---THINKING OF ALL OF HER FAMILY AND TRULY PRAYING FOR GOD'S BLESSINGS FOR ALL-HUGS

I only knew Ashley Trapp as a vibrant, wonderful East Meck Cheer Leader that enjoyed being, doing, making things happen.
Ashley was kind. In high school, that was special to me.

When I heard about this it was like someone punched me in the stomach!!! I was just in shock!! So sad, I don´t believe Ashley had an enemy, she was always so nice and approachable!! A smile that would just warm your heart! Heaven has gained an angel on so many levels!!
