Ashley Windham Obituary
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Henry and Vallie Windham and William and Louie Mae Higginbotham.
Survivors include his parents, Phillip H. and Janice Higginbotham Windham and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 404 South Moore Road with David Barge officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org or to your favorite charity.

Ash, you are, were, and always will be one of my best and dearest friends. There are so many things I will miss about you, especially when we'd hang up from catching up and you'd say, "Love you, buddy!"
Your family always came first followed closely by your many friends.
We all know how much you loved to laugh and sometimes, when you replayed one of your favorite comedians for me, it was so hard for you not to jump the punch line! But you never did, shared what makes you laugh with me and others, and laughed out loud and with your eyes lit up to jokes you'd heard many times before.
You were always there for me as my friend whenever we spoke, whenever I came back to town, and especially on each occassion when my parents passed away.
We always made time for each other.
I will miss you so much! :(
Phil and Janice, you are wonderful people who always welcomed me with open arms. I am so sorry for the loss of your incredible son.
I will never get over his passing and there will always be a hole in my universe.
I have to believe he is sharing his laughter, warmth and kindness with God right now.

Ashley my dear friend and Brother, I moved to Chattanooga in 1993 and you were one of my first “true” Chattanooga friends. I have cherished our friendship and brotherhood for 21 years and can't begin to describe the way your kind soul enlightened me!
