Barbara Bell Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 21, 2022.
Barbara Ann Bell (Burger) went home to be with the lord on May 16th, 2022 in Delray Beach, FL at the age of 92 due to natural causes. She was accompanied by her daughters who will continue to honor her legacy by enjoying life and all its simple pleasures.

Barb was born and raised with her sister Carol in Sea Isle City, NJ on January 15th, 1930 to her parents Milton and Elsie Bingham. After graduating high school, she attended Barbizon School of Modeling in New York City. Babs enjoyed a short career in modeling before settling down in Cape May Court House, NJ, where she married Jack Bell and raised three daughters. She attended the First United Methodist Church of CMCH with her family. She moved to Florida in 2015 where she lived out the rest of her life near her daughters.

Being a Mom and a Mommom (pronounced Mummum) brought her the most joy. Cute and fluffy animals came in a close second. Barbie enjoyed roller skating and dancing in her younger years and even donned some bowling shoes for a stint, but her true passion was shopping.

She is survived by her daughters Bobbi (Richard) Colanduno, Terri (Thomas) Matera, and Onni Bernardini; grandchildren Derek (April) Colanduno, Jacki (Craig) Soens, Jarrod (Maureen) Coburn, and Austin Brunner; great-grandchildren Jack, Dylan, Leo, and Grey Coburn; nephew Doug Evans (Nancy), and niece Jean Fitzpatrick.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Bell and sister Carol Bingham.

She will be remembered for her ability to light up a room with her loving smile and warm laughter. Her ability to mix-up a common phrase in the most hilarious ways made everyone laugh. Her ability to laugh at herself made it even funnier. "Barbisms" like "out in left field without a bat" will live on forever.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cape May County Animal Welfare Society.
