Barbara Saucier Ducote

Barbara Saucier Ducote, age 90, passed away to be with the Lord and her beloved husband Willard John Ducote on Sunday, January 20, 2019. Mrs. Ducote was a native of Marksville, La, a resident of Metairie, LA for over 50 years and a resident of Mandeville, LA for the past 2 years. Beloved wife of 73 years to the late Willard John Ducote. Mother of Rebecca Lidberg and the late Beverly Janet Owen. Daughter of the late Willie Saucier and Loritta Moras Saucier. Sister of Shirley Wilson. Preceded in death by brothers and sisters. Mrs. Ducote is survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ducote was a member of Memorial Baptist Church and was a retired beautician. She loved gardening and enjoyed nature. She will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Memorial Baptist Church, 5701 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, LA 70003 on Friday, January 25, 2019 beginning at 10:00 AM with a Funeral Service to follow at 12:00 noon. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Mrs. Ducote had requested everyone to wear colorful attire to her service.
