EDMONDS, Barbara Joan (Co-Founder of Edmonds, Gallagher & McLaughlin Insurance Brokers Limited and Royal LePage Edmonds & Associates Real Estate, Pembroke; and Life Member of the Petawawa Presbyterian Church). Passed away peacefully in hospital, Pembroke on Wednesday, March 15th, 2006 at the age of 74 years. Barbara Edmonds (nee Giesebrecht) of 515 Wilbert Street, Pembroke and formerly of Petawawa, dearly loved wife of the late R. M. "Mac" Edmonds. Dear mother of Lisa Edmonds (husband Tony Donnelly), Pembroke; Louise Edmonds (husband Bryan Kathen), Pembroke; Scott Edmonds (wife Wanda), Pembroke; Jennifer Edmonds (husband Richard Donnelly), Fort Collins, Colorado; and Craig Edmonds (wife Tami Sylvestre), Pembroke. Nana to Briana; Emily, Noah and Nicholas; Sterling, Tyler and Jessica; Austin, Spencer and Ellen; and Claire. Daughter of the late Charlie and Bertha Giesebrecht (nee Loback). Sister of Roy Giesebrecht (wife Teresa), Petawawa; and Bruce Giesebrecht (wife late Irene), Pembroke. Predeceased by Alice Giesebrecht; Dorothy Simon (husband late Cully); Jean Farquharson (husband late John and by first marriage the late Harold O'Brien); Helen Blanchfield (husband Nelson, Carleton Place, and by first marriage the late John Rowe); Fred Giesebrecht (wife Frances), Petawawa; Earla Simon (husband Thane), Pembroke; Jack Giesebrecht (wife Joan), Pembroke; Dick Giesebrecht (wife late Rhodella); Bert Giesebrecht (wife Shirley), Smith Falls; and Hilda Raby (husband late Des). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Resting at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, l4l Renfrew Street, Pembroke on Thursday 7 to 9 p.m.; and Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Service in First Presbyterian Church, Pembroke on Saturday at 11 a.m. followed by cremation. Spring interment in Calvin United/First Presbyterian Cemetery.
