Mom, I miss you so much already and it's only been a few week's, I don't know if anyone could ask for a better mother. You took care of all of us kid's like a mother bear whatever the situation was. I don't know why you didn't make Lisa suffer with the matching school clothes but that's okay because a girl wouldn't look good in white and blue stripes. I hope your up above with Dad now looking over all of us.
I Love You Mom,
And Dad,

Dupp

Thoughts, prayers, hugs and much love from my Mom, Louise ((Brellenthin) DeLong (now 97 years old!) and our family here in California. Our hearts were sad to hear about Barb´s passing. Mom remembers what a wonderful babysitter Barb was for us kids when we were little and still back in Minnesota. We loved her and she enjoyed babysitting us, it made her feel so grown up. We didn´t get back to Minnesota much after we moved out here, but exchanged Christmas cards and family news every year. I remember a great visit we had with Barb and Bob when they came out to California... must have been over twenty years ago now. We all met at Mom´s and had a home-cooked family dinner together. Both she and Bob took such an interest in our youngest son Matt, who was around ten then. He was taking art and painting classes, and their interest and encouragement made him feel so special. In later years Barb and Mom kept in touch by phone, especially after Bob passed, and shared some great conversations, love and support. If I was there with Mom during a call I was able to share in that too! I will always remember Barb as loving and kind with a sparkle all her own. We know how much she will be missed, and we pray that wonderful memories will help those who love her get through this difficult time.

I had the honor to be in Bob and Barbs wedding and shared many experiences with Bob in high school. I knew that it would take a beautiful and determined woman to harness his enthusiasm for life. Barb fit that description perfectly. He truly loved her from their first date and we all know why. Bill McCann

I had a few occasions to meet Barb through her sister Bonnie. Though tiny in stature, her energy filled the room. She struck me as confident, open, and centered. And, beautiful. I wish those who loved her best big comfort and happy memories to see them through their grief.

Whenever I visited Barb, she would open the door with her arms open for a hug. Whenever I stayed overnight with her in the morning, she was ready with her arms open again for a hug. I loved that about her and that is what I will take that from her & add to the rest of my life.
Her gift of hospitality was a blessing to all of us. I will miss her greatly.

Barb was a constant in my life: aunt, second mother, role model, confidant and friend. Whether at a family gathering or a one-on-one visit, I have so many wonderful memories of time spent with her. I was awed by her sewing skills. She made my wedding veil and I appreciative every piece of clothing she altered or fixed. Many of my friends remember her as my aunt who made those cute baby blankets, which were my choice for so many baby gifts. She was a wonderful cook and I am glad for recipes in my collection labeled "Aunt Barb". She was generous, loving and fun! She treated her nieces, nephews and their extended families with care and love (and more fun). Barb was a blessing to all that knew her. I was lucky enough to be one of her nieces. She will be forever loved and greatly missed.

Barbara Ann Brellenthin Kirk
My "Little" Sister, my irreplaceable friend. Her infectious giggle and flirtatious smile will forever remain in my heart as I remember my time with her. A tiny woman with a gigantic impact on so many lives. Raising 5 incredible children with the love of her life was a great accomplishment. Her talents were many and she did them with perfection. I share her love for sewing but all of her projects were perfect where mine were just a little off. I´m so lucky to have been able to be in her life and to have her in mine. I am blessed that she is my "Little" sister.
I love and miss her.
