LAKE IN THE HILLS - Barbara Krach, 86, of Lake in the Hills, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, at Sherman Hospital in Elgin.

She was born May 31, 1921, in Chicago, to Peter and Elizabeth (Guldner) Dillschneider. She married Anthony Krach on June 3, 1939, in Chicago.

She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Algonquin.

Survivors include her son, Robert Krach of Lake in the Hills; four granddaughters, Michelle (John) Mangum of Genoa, Julie (Matt) Misavage of Wake Forest, N.C., Amy (Jason) Long of Kirkland and Holly (Chris) Quinn of Elgin; six great-grandchildren, Brandon and Tristan Mangum, Gabrielle, Madeline and Ayla Misavage and Elizabeth Long; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1989; her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Ann and James Wollenweber; an infant daughter; two sisters, Elizabeth Kellogg and Marie Szekeres; and her stepbrother, Peter Guldner.

The visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. The Rev. William E. Stroup, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in Crystal Lake Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to Seasons Hospice, 606 Potter Road, Des Plaines, IL 60016.
