McCLENDON, Barbara Celebration of Life for Mrs. Barbara J. McClendon, 65, of 3130 Cadiz Circle, College Park, GA 30349, will be held Saturday, April 26, 2008, 1:00 p.m. at Community Church of God, 850 Cascade Ave., SW, Atlanta, GA. In state 11:00 a.m. Senior Pastor, Michael A. Smith, officiating. Interment: Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. She leaves to cherish her memory, her father, Emanuel McClendon, two daughters: Marva Nelson of Union City, GA and Russatta Buford of Brooklyn, NY; three sisters: Joyce McClendon, Carolyn Frisby, and Mildred Bonner; two sisters-in-law: JoAnn McClendon and Betty McClendon; three grandchildren: Diaja Nelson, Reginald McGlotten, and Davina McGlotten, all of Atlanta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the residence at 12:00 p.m. Gus Thornhill's Funeral Home, Inc. 404-768-2993-4.

TO THE FAMILY,
WE ALL LOVED BARBARA, BUT GOD LOVED HER BEST, AND ON APRIL 22, SHE LEFT TO GET SOME MUCH NEEDED REST. SHE WAS ALWAYS THERE TO LEND A HELPING HAND, AND ALWAYS DID THE BEST SHE CAN.
WE WOULD SOMETIMES TALK ABOUT THING IN OUR PAST, AND IT WAS ALWAYS SOMETHING SAID THAT WOULD MAKE US LAUGH. SHE IS GONE, BUT NOT FORGOTTENAND I WILL ALWAYS CHERISH HER MEMORY.
