Barbara Lue Molitor

Barbara "Barb" Lue Molitor, age 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ. She was also born at Overlook Hospital on October 16, 1942, to Floyd and Luella (Peterson) Pickett. She was a graduate of the 1960 class at Chatham High School. She married Robert "Bob" Molitor on May 27, 1967, at Ogden Memorial Presbyterian Church. In her younger years, Barbara truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; conversations with friends and family, writing poems, listening to music or playing her guitar, watching sports, and spending time with her best friend, Lynn Lohse, at the Fish and Game. Barbara is survived by her husband, Bob; her sons, Jonathan (Cheryl) Molitor and Erik (Karen) Molitor; her grandchildren, Lily, Mary, and a few foster grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Carol Carroll; and her nephews, great nieces, and many cousins. Barbara was predeceased by her parents, Floyd and Luella Pickett; her brother, David Pickett; her parents-in-law, Jacob and Elizabeth (Oberholtzer) Molitor. Family, friends, and others whose lives Barbara touched are invited to the Ogden Memorial Presbyterian Church, 286 Main St., Chatham from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2022. The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider donating to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Barbara's name.
