I was blessed to get to know Ben during my time in Hawaii YWAM. Even though it was a very short amount of time Ben impacted my life through sharing his story and grappling together what it means to love and serve God. This blurry picture was one that I made for Ben from a picture that God had given me. The iceberg showed how he may see the small impact that he has on others but really God has a huge plan for him that is good and that God may only see. I thought this message is still appropriate and true. I know God greatly impacted my life through Ben and that this is the same for many other people. I'm so sorry for your loss and I will be praying for the friends and family.

We first met Ben when he and our son, Evan, were representing Teen Challenge at a storefront in Thomasville, Ga on a Saturday morning. I remember thanking God that Evan had such a faithful young man by his side. We got the guys some lunch and coffee, of course. Ben loved his coffee! Another time, he came over to our home on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and coffee! We will always remember this wonderful young man. May you find peace in knowing that Ben is with his Lord and Savior. Ben's loss is immeasurable, but the impression he left on those he met will last forever. May God wrap his loving and healing arms around you.

Not many people could handle the challenges Ben faced, and even fewer could turn those challenges into a way to help others. But with his faith in God and the unwavering support of his family, Ben helped more people in his too short life than others ever could. I hope he can see that from where he is now
