My Sincere and deepest sympathy to the Pigott Family on the passing of my friend and fraternity brother Ben Pigott. Ben and I were charter members of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc. Metropolitan Houston Chapter and a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Ben's tenacity, respect and concern for others at all time were the traits that led to the founding of the 100 and his positive contributions to the young Black Men of Lincoln Park and his community. Ben will be missed because he cared. Family, keep the faith and know that Ben is with the Lord.

Pearl and Family,
I just learned of Ben's passing. I offer you my condolences and prayers for your peace. I know fresh the pain of your grief but I know more of the comfort that faith in Christ can bring. He is the healer and restorer of all our hurts. Your Ben and my Jerald were friends and professional colleagues as well as founding members of the 100 Black Men Houston Chapter. It is comforting to know that their long time friendship is renewed as they both rest in the arms of Jesus. Your days may seem empty and lonely but be encouraged; God's mercies are new every morning. He will see you through.

To the Pigott family,
I pray that the God of Heaven will strenghten you, settle you and give you peace in His decision to call Joseph. Just take one day at a time and focus on all of the blessings Joseph gave you through-out his life and all the blessings he has left you in his departure.
Let the peace of God, that passes all human understanding, keep you.

Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
