Dear Sharon, Daria, Courtnee, Brett and families, I have such happy memories of our family times spent together when our children were little. Bernie was such a proud and loving Dad and a warm and caring friend. I'm quite sure his ready smile will serve as a guiding light in your hearts going forward. Thinking of you with Love. Cousin Linda

I don't know if Bernie knew the impact he had on me but it was profound. I grew up in single parent home so I didn't know the role of a Dad. Bernie was the man who helped fill that void. He was a part of my life during my impressionable years, a time when a little girl watches and observes. He was such a loving and devoted Dad. His example and influence on me back then set the stage for what later became my expectations of what a Dad is. I'm thankful he was there for me when I needed him. I know he touched many lives and will be missed by many but for me he will always be the man who taught me what a Dad is. Rest in Peace Bernie you'll forever be in my heart.

Dear Sharon and family, I want to express my sadness for Bernie's passing...he truly was an inspiration to me and my entire family... he was always the favorite uncle, but for many many reasons... his love of sports and his coaches mentality, and his smiling friendly way of expressing himself to all... he drew people to him, especially family. He will be greatly missed! We love you guys.
