Betty Hamlin Obituary
Wilmington
Betty Jean Martin Hamlin peacefully transitioned from this life, on January 17, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones, to her heavenly home to be with her Lord. Betty was united in holy matrimony to the late Robert (Bob) William Hamlin, Jr. of Gary, West Virginia in 1962. To this union was born three children, Marvalene, Corintha and Robert III.
The couple settled in Wilmington, Delaware where they joined other family and friends. Betty and her beloved husband Bob were founding members of New Pentecostal United Holy Church of Wilmington, Delaware in the sixties.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her three children: Marvalene E. Hamlin of Wilmington, Corintha Hamlin Mack (Thomas E. Sr.) of Middletown, and Robert Hamlin III (Mona Liza) of Newark; four grandchildren: Thomas E. Mack Jr., Tamera C. Mack, Quentin R. Hamlin and Ellis W. Hamlin; siblings: Blanche (Veane), Richard, Pearl and Brenda; aunt Maxine Hale, godsons: Harold, Vernon and Timothy Kyle, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and church family at New Pentecostal UHC.
Services will be held on Friday January 27th, 2017
Viewing from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm and celebration of life to begin at 12:00pm with the repass immediately following at Ezion Fair Baptist Church 1400 B Street Wilmington, Delaware.
The burial will take place on Tuesday January 31st at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 10:00am.
