Betty Tisdale Obituary
Betty dedicated life to improving the lives of at-risk children: Vietnam, Colombia, Afghanistan, Mexico, Tibet, and Haiti - shelter, nutrition, education, and healthcare. She was "Mom" to children around the world. Betty passed at home Wednesday, August 19, shy of 93. She was comforted by family and friends. She is missed by: 10 children, 13 grandchildren, plus thousands of people around the world whose lives she touched throughout the decades. They were her extended family. Betty donated her body to continue the words: "One person can make a difference." Donations to legacy:

I met Betty is Saigon a few times after the war and she became a friend of mine whom I adored. I was very fortunate in escorting her to Texas Barbecue in Saigon. She was a true lady and hero. I will always remember her.

I miss you and think of you everyday! Had the special privilege of meeting Betty. Love her humor, stories and spending time at various happy hours with her. She made me try tartare for the first time at Toulouse Petit. So grateful to meet this amazing and unforgettable woman!

I had the privilege of meeting Betty in her home. She shared her selfless and loving life with me. I was honored and humbled by her gentle, yet powerful demeanor. This woman moved mountains for her children.
