Beverly Ann DeMink

Beverly Ann DeMink, 88, beloved mother to six children, passed away in Port Huron, Michigan from pneumonia due to Covid on September 8, 2024, leaving a void her family and friends cannot fill.

She was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1936 to Joseph Herber and Eleanor (Kolke) Herber, and was the first of three children. At the age of 24, Beverly married her sweetheart, Robert DeMink, and they spent a beautiful, fulfilling life together.

Beverly was a devoted mother to Eric DeMink, Laura Uematsu, Dennis DeMink, Suzanne DeMink, Scott DeMink, and Paul DeMink. She always said their births changed her life for the better, and they felt that in the love and support she provided during their formative years.

Beverly took special joy in doing crafts such as latch-it hook rugs, counted cross stitch, and adult coloring books, and had fond memories of summer family picnics held at the family home. She walked around her block every day, and friends and neighbors were inspired by her smile, her ready laugh, and her dedication to staying active. She was surrounded by friends and family, which is where she felt most comfortable and loved.

Beverly was preceded in death by her father Joseph Herber, her mother Eleanor Herber, her sister Joyce McCosh, her brother Bruce Herber, and her husband, Robert DeMink. She is survived by all six of her children, plus many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.
