I came across your guest book when looking up my mothers maiden name which is Beverly Forest. My beautiful mother passed away 8 years ago of cancer. Many of the entries from her friends sounds so similiar to the type of person my mom was. She was 72 was she passed away in Maryland. So sorry for yuour loss.

Please accept our deepest sympathies from the entire McKay family. Beverly was my high school sweetheart and this has come as quite a shock to all of us. She is remebered as a kind sweet caring woman whos always had a smile on her face. I fondly remember my time with her and her family on ArcoWay they hold some very good memories. Having a daughter myself that endured breast cancer, I can only begin to feel your pain and the corageous fight Beverly must have put up. She will be remembered by all of us.

Dear Mark, Lauren, and Tiffany,
Bev and I met later in life, an uncommon time to find a new friend. She has been an inspiration to me and I am grateful to have had a chance to know her.
On our last chat, she was upbeat, positive and full of life. She was the essence of live for today and likened herself to an invincible coachroach - something that could never die. We had a great giggle over that.
I know that while her body gave into the battle that is cancer, her spirit is alive, and well in those that had a chance to know her. I saw it today in the cheering section on A channel that celebrated and honoured all that she is and was.
Our prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time.

Dear Rocque and Forest families, and Bev's daughters, Lauren & Tiffany Hall,
Bev was a remarkable lady who I met a few years ago as a walker with the Weekend to End Breast Cancer. I know how proud she was of her family, and what a loving group you have been based on the wonderful things that Bev said about how "lucky" she was.
2,000 people will walk this weekend in Ottawa's Weekend to End Breast Cancer, and I know for a fact your Mom's spirit will be with us. She told me herself that despite being sick, she registered for this years walk to make sure her name was on the honourary flag. She wanted to make sure her name would fly on the flag over the walkers as we began our journey, to remind us, she was with us in spirit if she might not make it to walk.
She is with us, and with you all.
God Bless,
Louise Mercier & Family

Dear Mark, Lauren, Tiffani, Robin, Alex, Ben and family. We first heard of Bev when our son was at ID at Carleton and spoke of the great lady who took in the first year students and "mother"ed them with care. Later we became friends with Bev and Mark. She even took my art classes and had fun colouring away, wig on or off!! She was one of the most gentle, lovely, thoughtful people I have known and her caring showed in all she did. She loved Mark and her family and life so much. She is a flame that burns on in our hearts. with love from Allison & Terry Fagan

Mark, Lauren, Tiffany, Lynda, Stephen, Susan and families,
Words can not express the loss of such a loving and inspirational wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend.
We have many happy memories of times with Bev and family that are forever etched in our hearts. Always concerned about others, Bev offered incredible "joie de vivre" and support to all around her, especially to Blake and I during his illness. Her suffering has ended and God has a new angel beside him. She leaves a huge hole in our hearts and model of how to face life's challenges.
Love always,
Lise Furlotte

Bev was a gentle, positive and inspirational blessing to countless grads in ID at Carleton over the years. Bev is a part of who I am today and will be tomorow. Her strength and compassion touched everyone around her and I am truely thankful on a personal level to have have walked even a short path with Bev in this lifetime. Thank you.

Bev was an inspiration to me. The way she faced the many challenges in her life with hope, courage and confidence was an example to all of us. After visiting with her, I always felt more positive and appreciative of what is really important in life. She shared herself so generously, and she leaves all of us better for having known her. With your support, she accomplished many of her goals in her short lifetime. Our hearts go out to all of you in your loss of this very special woman - your wife, sister, mother, aunt, your loved one.

A strong woman works out everyday to keep her body in shape..
But a woman of strength builds relationships to keep her soul in shape.
A strong woman isn't afraid of anything...
But a woman of strength shows courage in the midst of fear.
A strong woman won't let anyone get the best of her,
But a woman of strength gives the best of herself to everyone.
A strong woman makes mistakes and avoids the same in the future...
But a woman of strength realizes life's mistakes can also be unexpected blessings and capitalizes on them.
A strong woman wears a look of confidence on her face,
But a woman of strength wears grace.
A strong woman has faith that she is strong enough for the journey...
But a woman of strength has faith that it is in the journey that she will become strong. -Unknown
Bev, a formidable lady.

To The Rocque and Forest families, and her daughters, Lauren & Tiffany Hall,

What an incredible woman Bev was, always showing great strength and determination in her quest for a cure, throughout her own battle! Her attitude and joy for life was contagious as she touched many people's hearts, unselfishly, despite her own on going battle. Bev will be sadly missed and will live on in our hearts forever. Rest in peace, Beverly.
Sincerely,
Marianne Keyes

I will always think of Bev with a pink boa, a huge smile and the determination to do whatever she set her mind to.
The Weekend to End Breast Cancer walk won't be the same without her this year. For me, Bev and her friend Monique were always the epitomy of why we walk and how we make a difference.
Bev was an amazing lady who will always be remembered. I am so fortunate to have known her. She will be missed.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
