Beverly Lucine Owens

of Lexington, wife of Larry Owens, passed away on March 15, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Genoa, Nebraska to Allen and Elsie Lindblom on December 13, 1934. She graduated high school in Wymore, Nebraska. She attended the University of Nebraska and worked in accounting for many years. She was a member of the Methodist Church where she served in many areas. She enjoyed genealogy, reading, needlepoint, music, her faith and spending time with her family. Beverly is preceded in death by her parents Elsie and Lloyd Oglesby, father Allen Lindblom and her sister Doris Hill of Lincoln, NE. Beverly is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, her daughters Jodi Smejkal (Ted) and Stephanie Miller of Lexington;sons J.B. Turner (Lisa) of Omaha, NE and Jack Turner (Renee) of New Brighton, MN;daughter Beth Riggs (Philip) of Stafford, VA and son David Owens (Anna) of Bloomington, IN; brother-in-law Harry Hill; nieces Debbie Backus (David) and Mary Crook (Alan) of Lincoln NE; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. The family will have a private service with a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to Bluegrass Care Navigators (Hospice) or one's favorite charity. The family of Beverly wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors, surgery teams and hospital staff who took wonderful care of her at St. Joseph Hospital as well as the team at Bluegrass Care Navigators.
