I am looking at a Lufkin News picture around 1954 of Billy and myself on a 1929 Pirsch fire engine destined for the new station being built on Ellis and Bynum.
Although I left the Lufkin Dept in 1955, Billy remained and later became Chief.
He and I remained friends all these years. My condolences.
