Bjorn Nielsen Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Bjorn Tindbaek Nielsen of Peterborough. He died suddenly at home, in his 75th year. Bjorn was the cherished husband of Dianne and devoted father to daughters, Caitlin and Serina (Robert) and much-loved Papa to Robbie Jr. He was beloved by his brother Ole, sister Helle and his entire extended family. He will be missed by his many friends and coworkers. Bjorn was an avid golfer and boater with a zest for life. He was always 110%. His great sense of humour could make even the most serious person crack a smile. His kindness and warmth will be felt forever in our hearts. Bjorn spent many happy hours on the golf course, boating in Georgian bay and travelling with family and friends. There will be no funeral, as per Bjorn's request but a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.

Dianne and family. Words fail us. Every time I´d run into Bjorn (usually at the old Y) he´d put a smile on my face. He was definitely one of the "good guys".

My deepest condolences to the family. Bjorn, in the days of his active membership at the Y, simply lit up the squash court when he walked in with his 110% attitude. He will be missed by all.

Sending your family our thoughts and prayers at this time. Dianne we are in Florida but get the Examiner online and were so saddened to hear of Bjorn's death. What a wonderful captain, friend and co-conspirator you have lost! His life was 110% with you and family around him. I loved working with him when he was in the Ministry and I had arrived in Peterborough looking for work. I then got to meet you and your girls. Will always remember him with admiration and kindness. Thinking of you at this time.

Dianne, Serina and Caitlin, it is with a heavy heart that I offer my and Kevin´s condolence. When we think of Bjorn so many memories come to mind, all of which bring a smile to our face. He was always such a bright light and the party started when he arrived. His infectious positivity made those who were his friends strive to be like him.
