The best times of my life were at the Browns house. It was like home to me. Mr and Ms. Brown were always wonderful to me. Mr. Brown was a kind, caring, amazing man and I consider myself lucky to have spent as much time with him as I did. I will always miss him.

Dear Marina,
I do not know you, nor Blythe, but I read your remembrance and have added the wisdom expressed in Blythe's retreat letters to your children to my "Quotes For Life" file, attributed to your beloved husband. I am so very sorry for your loss, but so very delighted you and your children had the man you had for as long as you did. You surely were blessed.

Dear Marina:
I saw this write up in the paper the other day and wanted to call you but couldn't find your phone number. Our family knew your mother well as she was Dr. Grainger's nurse and we were his patients from beginning to end. Then Blythe rented a room from my mother Jean Van Raalte while in school - that is where I met him. He was a wonderful, compassionate and caring person. Mom went to Blythe after Dr. Grainger retired. Mom was very sad to hear of his passing as she loved him as a person as well as a doctor. Mom passed away this year Dec 12, 2010 at 94 years of age. Just remembering you at this very blessed time of year.

I met Blythe while working at the Holy Cross Hospital back in the late 70’s and new him as a terrific fellow and great doctor. His attributes as a man and a physician I know would have translated effortlessly to that of a husband and father. I am sorry he had to leave so early. My sincerest sympathy.

When my family physician of 40 years passed away, I told my friend Bernice Nowlin that I was going to look for a brillant and astute doctor who would outlive me. She said, "Choose Dr. Blythe Brown - my doctor Marina Skulsky's husband." He accepted my into his practice and I would like to think that we established a lifelong friendship. I thought that he was brillant. Although I am now retired in Lethbridge, and knowing his days were numbered I have tried to keep in touch with his office regarding his well being. When I found his obituary last night there was a flood of tears as my wish was not fullfilled that he would outlive me.
May God bless you Marina and your wonderful family of which he was so proud. There will be a huge void - but please remember to only think of your good times together.
Kindly,
Dale & Loretta Ramsay

Blythe was my doctor for about 25 years. I first went to see him on the recommendation of an emergency room nurse at the Foothills, as I was looking for a new doctor about my own age. In recent years I have not seen him often at the clinic, but more often than not we crossed paths at the Talisman center. He clearly enjoyed his time there and it was always good to see him.
Blythe was a great person and doctor for my family and me.
Our deepest sympathy goes out to the family

Dear Dr. Skulsky,
Your wonderful husband delivered both of my daughters at Foothills Hospital. Although he could have passed off the deliveries to others, he came in after hours to personally bring Lise and Tess into the world. Blythe walked me through every stage of pregnancy, delivery and those first baby years all the time sharing stories about your four beautiful children. Our girls turned out fine - how could they not have? The first person they set eyes on was Dr. Blythe K.V. Brown. Please know that Blyhe truly made a difference for so many of us. With the greatest respect and deep sadness at honouring a man who should still be with us,
