Bob Hobman Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we share with you the sudden passing of our beloved Bobby. Bob left this world December 24th 2016 at Haines Junction, Yukon. He will be remembered by his Dad - Kelly, his Stepmom - Julie, Grandma and Grandpa Hobman, Grandma Mierau. As well as his extended family Uncles, Aunties, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and many friends. He was predeceased by his Mother - Barb and Grandpa M.
Geography was a passion of Bobs and he wanted to spend as much time outdoors and learning about the world as he possibly could. His love of geography and his sense of adventure led to many motor cycle trips with his Dad trying to see as much country as he could. He never missed a family reunion or opportunity to spend time with the people he loved. He touched everyone he met at these events. Anybody who met Bob and got to know him at these reunions will never forget him. If you couldn't find him visiting or playing a game with family you would likely find him grabbing an extra plate of food. He would encourage or challenge his cousins and uncles to follow suit. Lookout if apple salad was involved! His playful spirit and mischievous smile will be missed by all. He will remain in our hearts forever. Rest in peace Bob, we love you!

To Bob's family,
I am so sad and sorry for what you are going through right now.
I knew Bob as a baby when Bibs and I would sometimes drive him around until he fell asleep (before you guys took off for the Yukon). One time I remember him finally falling asleep after a particular long drive. Back at home, we looked in the back seat and found him bent right in half hanging out of the side of the car seat. No wonder he had bawled so long.
Bob seemed so positive. The experience that decided that for me is the memory that I always would reminisce about with Bibs when I saw her. It was the time we went to a Vietnamese place in Forest Lawn. Bob was having his first bowl of "pho", and naturally dug right in. Assuming EVERYTHING in that soup was to be eaten with all the same gusto, he chomped up the tiny little red pepper that was floating in the bowl. Now, many of us would have reacted the same way...a bunch of expletives, and then a bunch more. Not Bob. Not to complain, and with his face beet red and his mouth on fire and drooling, he said: maybe next time I'll have it without the pepper".
My sincere condolences at the loss of a wonderful young man.

We are so saddened to hear of Bob's passing and cannot imagine the pain and loss you are feeling. I've heard that our children are only on loan from God and we never know for how long. Feel blessed you've had this time with Bob and glory in all you've shared and learned together. He will rest now in a beautiful, peaceful eternity.
