Bobby Darwin

Bobby Dean Darwin, 93, passed away on January 30, 2025, in Thousand Oaks, California.

Born on September 13, 1931, in Texas, Bobby attended Polytechnic High School in Riverside before serving in the United States Air Force from 1950 to 1952 as a B-29 gunner. Following his military service, he pursued higher education at California State University, San Bernardino, earning a degree in Business Administration.

Bobby worked for Hunter Engineering and other companies as an engineer. Later in life he founded and operated Darwin Realty until his retirement in 1992.

Beyond his professional life, Bobby found joy on the golf course, appreciating both the challenge of the game and the camaraderie it fostered and he was a member of Eden Lutheran Church in Riverside.

He is survived by his daughter, Linda (Darwin) Pierog; son, Robert Darwin; grandchildren, Margaux (Pierog) Kugelman, John David Murray, Lisa Chapman, Daniel Darwin and James Darwin; great-grandchildren, Lila Chapman, Tallulah Chapman, Cate Kugelman, and Audrey Kugelman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dona Darwin; brother, Billy Jean Darwin; daughter, Kathleen Irwin; and granddaughter, Jessica Pierog.

His laughter and enjoyment of jokes will be missed but fondly remembered.
