DR. BOYD GILBERT Ph.D.
Age 83, of Knoxville, TN passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2006 after two years of loving care at Brakebill Nursing Home. He has gone to be with loved ones, including his son Jeffrey Boyd Schultz and son-in-law David A. Whitney, who are waiting for him in Heaven. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Helen Jacqueline "Jackie" Scultz; daughter Linda Whitney; son Dr. Gary Schultz, DMD and wife Suzan; daughter-in-law Joanne Schultz; loving grand children, Emily, Whitney, and Melanie Schultz, Heather Schultz, Brian Schultz and Farrell Wagner. Dr. Schultz's spent his Army military career in Oak Ridge working on the Manhattan Project. His professional career was with Westinghouse Nuclear Division in Pittsburgh, PA and Oak Ridge Associated Universities in Oak Ridge, TN. He grew up in Wisconsin where he leaves behind two brothers and one sister. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, April 17, 2006, 7 pm at First Farragut United Methodist Church, 11915 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37934, with Reverend Richard Edwards officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc., 225 N. Michigan Ave., Flr. 17, Chicago, IL 60601-7633. Arrangements by CREMATION OPTIONS, INC., (865)6WE-CARE 693-2273.

I'm so very sorry to learn of your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of loss. Alzheimer's disease is such a cruel disease, and I can only imagine the pain that you and your family have endured. May God's blessings be upon you and your family.
