Not a day goes by without thinking of Brandon. Il a touché, à sa manière, tous ceux qui l'entouraient. There's souvenirs of him all over this house and in my heart. I know with assurance that he is with the Lord & rejoicing. He used to say: "It's gone be ok", but I say: "No, not this time, the wound is too deep." One day, yes one day, I'll see him again. Il a tant été aimé. Un vrai gentleman.

Today, Greater Gatineau honoured Brandon's memory with the creation of a yearly award, commemorating students with his love of ART. It was a very moving awards ceremony. Brandon you are deeply missed by all especially your good friends Xavier and Donovan. Your memory will always remain at our house!

Brandon was an inspiration for many with his smiles and his politeness and his caring heart and creativity. May god help you through this time of sorrow and Brandon be your guardian angel. We will miss him so very much. My neighbor upstairs Marie Eve was there that day and had called 911 so she came to see me last night so I could show her some pictures of what a beautiful boy Brandon was. The little time I spent with Brandon was most definitely joyous times.
This little boy had such a beautiful heart and spirit! I'm sure those who were privileged enough to have had Brandon's company throughout their lives (whether long-term or short-term), could not help but to experience his kind, sincere, and most genuinely uplifting candid nature.
It is not fair that such a precious and darling life has been taken off of this earth. It is not fair that his family has to feel this tremendous heart-ache! I hope in my lifetime I won't have to ever experience the pain and heart-ache that comes with losing your very own child! I'm sure if I had lost such a precious part of my life (my son), I would not know where to turn or know how to cope with the severe agony that would weigh on my heart.
These words that I write here more than likely will not bring any comfort at this extremely mournful time in your lives. However, I want you all (Jen and Eric and the rest of the family), to know that the tears I cried when I found out of your loss were genuinely heartfelt. Further, I am hoping that the tears I've cried for your tremendous loss will result in less tears that you both have to cry.
My up-most sympathy and my most sincerest condolences, along with a magnitude of heartfelt love, goes out to all those who were part of this beautiful little boys life.

So tragic and sad. My daughter is in grade 3 at Greater Gatineau and she is heartbroken over the loss of her playmate. We are all thinking so much about Brandon and his family. We are so sorry for your hurt. My daughter Heather thought Brandon was an amazing boy and she will miss him greatly.

but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.

That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.

There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,

My niece was in Brandon's class for several years. I don't know you nor did I know Brandon but I have thought of little else over the last few days.
Love never dies, it only changes form. May the love you all shared keep you strong and bring you comfort.

Eventhough we now live in Alberta, my son Jonah sat beside Brandon on the school bus last year when he attended School at Greater Gatineau. He speaks very fondly of playing with Lego figurines to pass the time with Brandon. He was saddened to hear the news. We will be praying for you and your family.
