Brenda Ann Allen, aged 63, passed away on July 18, 2024, in Chicago, Illinois, where she was also born on May 18, 1961. Brenda's life was marked by her vibrant, fun-loving spirit and her deep commitment to her family and community.

Brenda spent over 25 years serving at Old Country Buffet before extending her career to Golden Corral, where she continued to share her warmth and generosity with everyone she encountered. She was a graduate of Austin High School and remained active in her community throughout her life.

A devout member of Compassion Baptist Church, Brenda was deeply involved in church activities and found great solace and joy in her faith. Her hobbies included music, traveling, and painting-a passion that brought great joy to her and those around her.

Brenda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Craig Allen; her daughter, Jessica Allen; her parents, Mary and Emmett Bolden; her sister, Ezola Reid; and her brother, Emmett Bolden Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Tiffany and Vanessa Allen; her sister, Linda Smith; her brothers, Benedict, Clifford (Veronica), and Edward (Bessie) Bolden; her sister, Geneva Hill (Obie); eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her family and friends will remember her as a pillar of strength, love, and compassion.

Services to celebrate Brenda's life will be held on Thursday, August 1, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Compassion Baptist Church, 2650 E 95th St., Chicago, Illinois. Arrangements are under the care of Sims & Ward Royalty Funeral and Cremations in Chicago, Illinois.

Brenda's life was a testament to the power of kindness and the enduring strength of familial and community bonds. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
