Brenda Kay Smith, 67, of Milligan Road, Afton, passed away Saturday evening, February 23, 2013, at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.

She retired from Magnavox.

Mrs. Smith was a member of Freedom Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband: Lyle Smith; son and fiancée: Brian Smith and Teresa Milhorn of Greeneville; daughter and son-in-law: Natasha and Brian Gridley of Greeneville; granddaughters: Tabatha Cutshall and Alex Gridley of Greeneville; grandsons: Matthew Smith, Benjamin Gridley, Caleb Milligan, and Elijah Milligan, all of Greeneville; brothers: Michael Yokley and Teddy Yokley of Greeneville; daughter-in-law: Kathy Smith of Greeneville; special nieces and nephews: Kim Taylor, Chuck Milligan, and Nick Milligan of Greeneville; and several other nieces and nephews.

She was the daughter of the late Theodore and Margaret Raines Yokley and was preceded in death by a son: Jeff Smith; a sister: Judy Milligan; and a brother: Ronnie Yokley.

The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be conducted at 10am Thursday in Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Amos Penley and Rev. Billy Gregg officiating.

Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Afton.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial and Honor Program, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.

Dear Tasha and Family- All of you are in our thoughts and prayers. Your mom was a good woman. She supported her whole family no matter what. We loved getting to know her through games and etc. She will be missed not only by you all but by a lot of people that she has touched along the way. If there is anything you all need please let us know. God will help you through this, look to him.
