Garry, Taylor and Wendy,
I've known Brett since daycare years of singing in the choir at Christmas concerts holding hands in the front row. Years later, we had many amazing times playing hockey together, and I will never forget our Blackfoot years and our trip to Brampton Ontario. Brett was so excited that we saw Wayne Gretzky and got our jacket's signed she ran around with tears of joy, as her nickname "Brettzky" just took on a whole new meaning. I am so sad that I cannot be there today to pay tribute to such a wonderful person with an amazing personality and the brightest smile ever. My thoughts are with you guys. Brett you will never be forgotten, thank you for all the great times and memories. ~The Bergmann's

Garry,
Words cannot describe how incredibly sorry I am for you and your family's loss. I am happy I had the privilege of meeting Brett the one time, she had such a bright, fun loving soul about her. You are in my thoughts during this difficult time.

I met Brett through my fiance, Jason, and Richard. I remember telling the managers at BP's to trust me and hire this girl. I'm glad they listened. She was the most beautiful wonderful friend I could of ever had. She was always happy to come over to my appartment and harrass my cat, Mojo. She loved his fluffiness. We had some awesome party nights together and we shared the same thoughts most of the time. Even though the last time I saw Brett was when I came home for a visit she was so excited to see us. She even said the next time we came home again drinks were her. I'm still on the island and I can't even come home to give my respects to her. I will miss her so much and I am so sad she is gone. She was indeed the most beautiful, wonderful, repected girl I knew. My heart goes out to her family and all the friends she made. May you Rest In Peace Brett. I love you. "My family and I had the privilege of knowing Brett who was a beautiful young lady. My daughter played Ringette with her & I helped coach her. Brett also accompanied our family on a few camping trips which were so much fun. I will always remember Brett as a tenacious, fun loving and free spirited young lady, who was always smiling. Her infectious smile could brighten up any room and make any day seem a little better! I knew Brett to be very caring and compassionate towards everyone and everything. Brett, we all love you and will never forget you! The world has lost someone special! Gary and family, words cannot express our deepest sympathy; our thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of sorrow."

Dear Garry,
Our heartfelt condolences on the loss of your daughter. We have joyful memories of Brett as a young girl--mostly from the times your family joined us for summer barbeques. She always wanted to help in the kitchen and was an excellent salad tosser. She certainly wanted to take care of her dad--suggesting that a few pieces of leftover lasagne would be great for dad's lunch. She was a little concerned by the floral bedspreads in our house--where did Boyd sleep? We always loved her 'heart on her sleeve' approach; she was such a genuine child. Our hearts are breaking for you and your family.

Brett and I were friends for a very long time. I remember playing in the sandbox at my house and Garry would come and pick Brett up, always earlier than we wanted, to snowboarding at Lake Louise every chance we got. Brett was a great friend. She was sincere, outgoing, honest, and beautiful. She knew how to put a smile on your face, generally with just the use of her own bright smile. She had many friends and will never be forgotten. I will miss Brett dearly and my thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends. I am unable to make it to the funeral due to being out of the country. I send my best thoughts.
Sincerely,

I am so sorry for your loss. I hadn't seen Brett in a few years, but I was friends with her in junior high and played hockey both with and against her. She was so kind and so genuine and was always herself, and I really admired her for it. I still have a picture of the two of us hugging after playing each other in a championship game - I don't remember who won or lost, but I remember that moment, and I think it really captures the nobility of her spirit. She will be deeply missed by all who new her.

For anyone who had the privilege of meeting Brett, if even only once, you would never forget her smile and zest for life. Her cheery disposition was contagious and no matter what your mood at the time, when you spoke to Brett you could not help but be overwhelmed with joy. She had a gift and was one in a million.
She gave 110% at all she did and worked amazingly hard with passion and pride at all times. Her smile and laugh will never be forgotten.
Brett was loved by so many and we have lost a very special, unique and beautiful soul who genuinely cared about all of those in her life.
My thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends and co-workers, who loved her so much, during this time of grief.
Rest in peace beautiful and thank you for the difference you have made in ours lives during your all too short time on this Earth.
We will never forget.

Brett was a remarkable young woman. She was electric, energetic, jovial and magnetic to all who knew her. There was a certain something about her that made her appealing and welcoming to everyone. The notice of her passing was a somber and sorrowful moment. Brett breathed life into all who knew her, and in her passing she will be remembered for the beautiful, kind and unique woman she was. We honor her in our hearts, our memories and every moment we share with the ones closest to us.
Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Brett's family and loved ones. May you hold her in your hearts forever more.
Rest Well Brett, you will be sadly missed, and fondly remembered.

Dear Wendy, Gary and Families
It is with a heavy heart that we send our love, thoughts and hugs to you all.
Thoughts of Brett are plentiful, as a young girl growing up she excelled in her ringette and hockey, something we were all so proud of her for. Watching her grow into the beautiful woman she became made everyone's hearts melt. Her zest for life was contagious and put a smile on everyone's face...Brett was there rain or shine!!
The wonderful friendship she shared with my daughter and family is one that will be cherished forever.
We all have our unique memories of Brett. May we take comfort in those memories and cherish the times we shared.
To the Haskell and Smith families - your family and friends will be there for you at all times. Call on us at anytime.
