It will be one year ago on Monday and I find myself thinking of you more often then not. We still have to finalize the estate but that's not the reason we think of you. Little things that are said or happen around the office still bring us back to you and probably always will. I miss you more each day but know that you are at least at peace now.

February 23, 2011

Just thinking about you Brian. The gang, all of us, sit back and think about you often. We laugh, get choked up, (don't dare let a tear show) and reminisce about the great years and times we had with you.... You are so deeply missed, and I find myself in daydream; thinking of you.

Hey Brian !!
We were talking about you today at the court house. We miss you bud! No one has had a handshake like yours, in a long time, and most likely will not until we meet again. Keep a close eye on us all OK.....

Although we were not close to Brian, we are deeply saddened by this tremendous loss. As clients of his, he made us feel so welcome and at ease with our concerns. It was just today that we were once again seeking his advice and to our dismay learned of the terrible news. If we, as near strangers, are so touched by this sad news, we can only imagine his family's heartache. Memories of him being a wonderful attorney will always remain with us.

I am so very very sorry. Brian is and will forever be missed. He made a difference in my life and as I have heard, in many other's lives as well.
This news is devastating to me. I am so truly sorry for your loss - and it is a great loss for me. He was a good friend. I'll never forget his warm reassuring hug and encouraging words.

Brian's birthday is next week and we have been talking about him at the office again. He is missed everyday here. There are times when his name pops up in the calendar or on a case and the memories start flooding back. All we can do around here is believe that he is at peace now watching over all of us and Max and Steffen. Miss you Brian.

Brians heart was so beautiful. How he loved those precious boys. Will forever be thankful to have been part of his precious life. My heart goes out to his family. His warm smile could sure light up the room. He was so kind... caring and gentle.

Brian was a friend and fellow attorney. He worked his way up from being the first in his family to graduate from college to obtaining an MBA as well as a doctorate in law, while working full time and supporting his family. He was a gentle giant, hard working dedicated and loving. He survived through many obstacles and was here for too short of a time. My wife and I just heard of this tragedy today and it is with a heavy heart we say farwell to our friend. Much love

Brian was my attorney about 2 years ago, he would always talk about his children and I am very saddened that this has happened. He was a very good lawyer, who was there for me from the beginning of my case till the end, a long year and a half, from the good and bad. I will remember him as an attorney who would do anything to satisfy his client, his counsel was very good and hope goes to his children and may this tragic death of a good man may have all touched us in our hearts. I will remember you always as a guy who is very courageous, happy, and great father. This is coming from a 17 year old, who was there for me
from when I was 14 almost 15 till I was 16 years old. I just got another recent case and my parents had his card still, they went to go see him today, and when they got home they told
me that he has passed away. You will always be remembered.

I once had someone tell me that it's not death that brings us the greatest loss in life...but all that dies inside of us as a result. As life goes on, Scott and I hope you will find ways to celebrate Brian's memory by living life to it's fullest...as he would want for all of us. May time speed your healing by knowing he will live on in our hearts forever.

I met Brian a few years ago. I watched his dogs when he went to visit his parents in Nevada. He always talked about his sons and they were the world to him. We became very close friends and had just spoken less then a week ago. He made me a lovely dinner at his home just a few weeks ago. I am very sad and feel very deep sorrow for his family most of all his sons and parents. He was a wonderful man. I will truly miss him and wish I would have know about this sooner.

I know the family and nobody knew me. However, I met Brian a few years ago. I took care of his dogs when he went to visit his parents in Nevada and we became very close friends over the past few years and spoke often very recently and exchanged emails. We just spoke less then a week ago and had plans to get together very soon. He helped me and my son and always gave us the best legal advise. He cooked me a great salmon dinner a few weeks ago and we talked for hours. His boys meant everything to him and he was so proud of them. He will be extremely missed and I am very sad. I just learned of the news yesterday and wished I could have know sooner.
My prayers and deep sorrow for his parents, his sons and his loved ones.

Dearest Lynn, Noel, Tammy, Carey, Steffen and Max,

Brian was not only my best friend but also my brother and his dedication to our friendship was limitless. For 25 years, he never once forgot to call me on my birthday.

And while I will miss Brian's big ol' smile, his big heart, his dedication, his wit, his humor, and his counsel, I will carry with me only my most joyous and fondest memories of our friendship.

To my brother Brian, I wish you a peaceful journey! You will be missed by all of us.

Our dear friend Brian,
For those of us left behind for now, at the Lake County Sheriff's Office [Court Division], we will miss you very much. That huge smile always lit up the court room, and your mighty handshake, was proof enough that we were in "good hands" when in your midst.
You left a mark on each of us, and we will be forever grateful for that. gift.

Brian was a spark of light and my good luck charm. He always put a smile on my face when I was down. He will be missed but remembered in my heart.

Now or Never

Don’t wait with longing for the day;
When better times might come your way;
Discard the fears that may depress;
Live now, and garner happiness;
Though you have problems, find the room;
For loving when the path is rough;
For laughter when the going’s tough;
To fully live means you must face;
Whatever comes, with humble grace.
And if you mourn, turn it to praise;
How much to do, how few the days!!
