Bruce A. Cost

Bruce Allen Cost, age 64, of Hilliard, Ohio passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023 in Columbus, Ohio. Bruce was born on July 21, 1958 to the late George C. and Theresa C. (Gebhart) Cost. Bruce grew up in Newark, Ohio and graduated from Licking County JVS/Newark Catholic in 1977. Bruce then received a two year degree from CSCC. Bruce is survived by wife, Patricia (Siegel) Cost; daughter, Hilliary (Robert) Cost-Alfred; step-children, Nathan (Dawn) Ball, Kristin (Brian) Smith; furbaby, Maggie; grandchildren, Amelia Alfred, Brenden Ball, Jackson Alfred, Claire Alfred, Kyla Ball, Hannah Smith, Moriah Smith; siblings, Georgianna Vanvelzor, Christine Archer of Newark, Ohio and Paul Cost of Lebanon, Ohio, brothers-in-law, Frank (Suzan) Siegel and David Siegel. Bruce is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many lifelong friends. He was preceded in death by in-laws, William (Ollie) and Catherine (Bayer) Siegel and furbaby, NDee. After retiring from Edy's Ice Cream, Bruce was able to enjoy his passions which included all things Notre Dame, photography, trains, trips to Amish country, and gardening. He especially loved spending time with his beloved basset hounds - NDee and Maggie. Bruce was an organ donor and was able to help several families with his generous gifts. Friends may call on Saturday, February 18, 2023 from 9:00 to 10:30am at Clover Valley Chapel, 5669 Clover Valley Rd, Johnstown, Ohio, 43031. Service will follow at 10:30am with Rev. Brian Smith and Rev. Joyce Pinson officiating. Inurnment at Green Hill Cemetery to follow.
