Bruce J. Genewich 65, of Appleton, New York and husband of Sally Leising Genewich entered into rest on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at home. He was born in Buffalo, NY, to Imogene (Williams) Genewich and Joseph E. Genewich, M.D. Bruce retired from Delphi after 30 plus years of service as a tool & die maker. After retirement, Bruce pursued metal machining in his garage. He loved hunting, was active in family ancestry research, donated time to Cold Spring Cemetery, and was a huge Bills/Sabres fan.
Bruce is survived by his wife, mother and siblings David (Camille) Genewich, Gretchen (Paul) Labbe, Judy (Roger) Fitch and Brian Genewich, and nieces and nephews. There will be no prior visitation. A graveside service will be held at Cold Spring Cemetery at a later date.

I am so sorry and sad to learn of Bruce's passing. He was my friend and always called me to thank me for my military service in Vietnam. The past year kept us from having lunch or seeing each other because we live so far apart. Bruce was one of the best men I ever worked with at Harrison and a great friend. He will be dearly missed. Just learned of Bruce passing. I personally met him at the Wright's Corners cemetery after working with him on our family genealogy's. He was a generous man and helpful with the family tree and cemetery locations. Condolences from 3rd cousins.

We first met Bruce through our mutual interest in genealogy. He found the graves of Olin's gr-grandparents and other family members in Cold Springs. We visited with he and Sally in 2009 and forged a friendship that lasted all these years. He would frequently call and say "I'm standing next to Sarah's grave" or "guess where I am today". He often sent photos or videos of projects that he had completed, i.e. his 1951 John Deere tractor, or just call to check on us. We will miss him immensely and treasure our memories always. Rest in peace dear friend. Sally, we are keeping you and the family in our thoughts and prayers.

Bruce was a fantastic man. He and I worked together at Harrisons for many years. He is the best friend I ever had and I feel like he is my brother. I know he is now with Jesus in Heaven and will still be with me forever. God bless his wife, Sally, his family, and his doggie.

I was deeply saddened to read of Bruce's passing. I was an engineer at Harrison/Delphi who had the honor of working with Bruce while he was in the development shop. In addition to being a great guy, Bruce was a talented toolmaker who's skill was only exceeded by his helpful nature, enthusiasm, and sense of humor. After retirement Bruce made several parts for a car I was building as well as for others building the same type car. He will be missed by many.
