I hesitated when I had to answer the "choose a relationship" off the drop down menu. There isn't a "pick all that apply", which is unfortunate. Bruce was one of my dad's best friends. To me, he was Uncle Bruce growing up. That makes him family. As I got older, he made sure I behaved myself and kept an eye on me, like a daughter. When I was more of an adult, we grabbed beers, I made him dinners and exchanged hysterical text messages or memories of hockey or football games we had attended together. Which made him my friend. I know I'm not the only one who may have felt this hesitation. Bruce was a bright light in the lives of everyone who were lucky enough to know him. Never once in my 37 years did I ever hear him say anything negative about anyone, no matter who it was. Even during a hockey game. He could smile at or through anything, even when he was in pain. He looked for the positive. I am devastated I wasn't able to tell him goodbye or thank him for the HUGE part of my life he influenced. Never had I ever thought we would lose our friend and father this soon. My heart still hurts. The fishing excursions, the Bowl trips and the hockey games WILL NEVER be the same. Miss you big guy.
To Lauren, Ryan and family- My heart is with yours. Thank you for sharing him with us.

My deepest condolences to the Nawrocki family during this time. Bruce, aka "Krum", was a beloved member of our family. We always joked that when Bruce and my dad (Billy) would get together, they never looked for trouble, trouble always found them. Every time I saw him he always had a smile on his face. He lit up the room and always included everyone in the conversation. He was one of the best. I love you Bruce. Thanks for always treating me as one of your kids. Until we meet again. All my love.

In late 1950s I babysat for Bruce, Susan, and Ann at Bunny and Lou's Fairmont home. He was a happy go lucky kid back then. Thank you for photo in obituary. Sympathy to all of you.

I was so sad to hear about Bruce's passing. I know he will be missed by so many. I have a wonderful memory of our 10/2016 class reunion and my visit with Bruce. We had a great group picture of the 'St. John Vianney' students. My prayers are with all the family and friends that knew him and will miss him.

I very much enjoyed working with Bruce at Verizon. Even after retiring I was able to visit with him briefly when he was working a job order in Forest Grove, Oregon. He always seemed to have a pleasant attitude. Til we meet again.

My condolences to Bruce's family. We were very close friends growing up. Always finding fun ways to keep busy especially in the summer months. We lost touch after high school but I've always considered him a friend. You will be missed buddy.

To the family of Bruce Nawrocki. My wife and I are sending our condolences for your loss of Bruce. I have known Bruce since we were boys in Fairmont. He was a couple years older, but was always like an older brother to me. We were pretty close as friends living in the Great Northwest. We didn't live to close, but that didn't stop us from calling and doing things together. We always shared stories of our children, sports activities, skiing, and fishing as well. When we were getting older, our aches and pains were always a side joke of ours to get a good chuckle. Things developed over the years to my Diabetes, and his bumps, bruises and other ailments. Such is life that we cannot live forever, but I will cherish the day when I see his crooked nose and sly smile in the sky. May God have blessed your soul my friend. John and Theresa Personius
