Bruce Toole Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 26, 2014.
CHICAGO - Bruce Toole Jr. passed away unexpectedly February 24, 2014; he was born to Bruce Toole Sr. and Susan (Smith-Toole) Betts in Salem, Oregon on December 12, 1978.

Bruce never met a stranger; charismatic, genuine, and compassionate, he engaged in conversation with individuals from all walks of life, never to judge. His beautiful soul and spirit will be greatly missed by many and remembered by all who knew him.

Family completed Bruce; in September of 1998, he married the love of his life, Starr, at Cascade Park in Bangor, Maine. Soul mates by chance and choice.

Proud Dad to Maxx and Chazz, Bruce loved his sons and instilled in them the importance of family, the value of life lessons, and a great love of music; he is a part of them forever and the memories created remain.

Friend to many near and far, culinary genius, Red Sox fan extraordinaire, former student of Brewer High School and Johnson and Wales University, the loss of Bruce's life in this world leaves a void never to be filled.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Starr Melendez-Toole; sons Maxx and Chazz Toole; Mother Susan (Smith-Toole) Betts; Brother Jason Smith and wife Kara and their children Steven, Phillip, and Luke; Aunt Lorie Toole; Aunt Athena 'Sam' Joannidi; Mother-in-Law Linda LaJeunesse-Melendez; Sister-In-Law Lillian Fuller and husband Michael and their children Cara, Chloe, and Nevaeh; Brother-in-Law Corey Nelson and wife Zaneta and their children Nick, Natalie, and Isabelle; Brother-in-Law Jason Nelson; Brother-in-Law Jarrett Melendez; Forever friend Chris Bearce, and countless family and friends.

Bruce was predeceased by his father, Bruce Toole Sr.; Grandparents Allan and Ainslie Toole; Grandparents Clinton and Beatrice (Dalpe) Smith; Forever friends Darrin Pinette and Brian Ivey.

A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held for Bruce at Cascade Park in Bangor, Maine on Sunday, July 27, 2014 from 4-6pm.

Bruce would be so proud of you and the boys Starr, and how much you all have accomplished. His life on earth was way to short. Remember all the good times and continue to stay Strong.

When I think of Bruce, all my memories are of him with others...He is never alone. He always was part of more...He was Bruce, sweet love of Starr... always finding new ways to celebrate her...celebrate them...he was Bruce...laughing father of Maxx and Chazz...always playing with them...wrestling,teasing, ...Starr's oldest sometimes!...to me,Bruce was a friend...someone who valued me...who was respectful and trusted me with his most precious possessions, his boys.Bruce will always be remembered by me as a man who loved only his wife, cherished their children and wanted nothing more than to spend his life loving them...and he did...Love you Starr, Maxx and Chazz...

Starr, I wish I could be there to support you today, but I am never further than a phone call away. When I met Bruce I had such a good feeling from him and I could see why you chose him to be your best friend and husband. I wish only peace, love, happiness and vivid loving memories for you and your boys. Love you my dear friend, Veronica

Starr you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. You and Bruce had a love that was timeless. I remember your stories of him, and the smiles you would have when you spoke of him. I know he is watching over you and your boys from up above, and just know he is keeping you safe. Your friend
