Bruce White Jr. Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 28, 2025.
With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Bruce Edward White Jr., a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, proud veteran, and respected craftsman. Bruce passed away on July 26, 2025, in Neptune, New Jersey, at the age of 68.

Born on May 4, 1957, in Neptune, New Jersey, Bruce spent his life rooted in the community that shaped him. He graduated from Brick High School and went on to serve honorably in the United States Army. As a Crew Chief in the 1st Air Cavalry Division, he maintained and flew Huey helicopters with unwavering dedication. His service to his country and fellow soldiers was marked by courage and commitment. He was honorably discharged following his time in the military.

Following his military service, Bruce built a successful career as a self-employed contractor. Known for his precision and dedication to his craft, he earned a reputation for dependability and exceptional workmanship. His projects stood as a testament not only to his skill but also to the pride he took in every detail. Through his work, Bruce left an indelible mark on his community-one measured not just in structures built but in trust earned.

Bruce was also a Master Mason of Ocean Lodge 89. He embodied the Masonic values of brotherhood, integrity, and service throughout his life. A natural problem solver and critical thinker, Bruce was an intellectual at heart who never stopped learning. Whether tackling complex challenges or sharing knowledge with others, he approached life with curiosity and humility.

Above all else, Bruce treasured time with his family. He is survived by Suzanne, his beloved wife of 44 years; daughters Allison J. Morgan and her husband Dr. Aaron Morgan; Kacey Diaz and her husband Master Sergeant Adalberto Diaz; and six grandchildren-Abrahm, Henry, Philip, Vera, Ramona, and Fabienne-who brought immense joy to his life. He is also survived by siblings Joseph White; Bonnie Wardell and her husband Ben; and Paul White.

Bruce found great joy in the outdoors-camping under open skies or simply enjoying nature's quiet beauty. He rarely missed one of his grandchildren's sporting events and loved traveling with family or spending time with close friends. These moments reflected what mattered most to him: connection, experience, and shared memories.

Bruce's legacy lives on through the family he loved so deeply, the craftsmanship he poured into every project, and the countless lives he touched with kindness, generosity, and integrity.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and inspiration to those who carry forward the values he lived by. A memorial service will be held on July 31, 2025, from 09:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ely Funeral home 3316 Rt. 33. Masonic ceremony at 0930. Funeral with military honors to follow at Allenwood Church Cemetery 3110 Atlantic Avenue, Allenwood, NJ 08720.

"It is incredibly saddening to hear of Bruce passing. He was a remarkable person, who served his country with unwavering dedication. After serving his country and returning to civilian life. Bruce showed us all he was a true business man. We both had assembly companies that were once considered competition to one another. We were the top two assembly companies in several states. Many years ago through business, Bruce and I while at Home Depot corporate office decided to work side by side. From that moment we became close friends, often referring to one another as brother out of respect. I was honored to have Bruce as one of the men beside me at my wedding. Bruce left an indelible mark on us all who knew him as a brother and a friend. We will cherish his memory forever."

Bruce was so full of love and life. When we were younger he was always full of laughter and energy. Whether you were family or a friend you were loved and treated as family. He loved to go camping, he invited us to go with him, Suzie and the girls for our first time a little over 30 years ago. We loved it and haven't stopped since then, but we have all of those precious stories and memories that will keep him alive in our hearts. I will miss his energy, laughter, love and smiles tremendously. Rest in peace brother

Most of the core foundation of mine and my brothers´ childhoods came from being neighbors with Bruce & Suz, Ali, and Kacey. Every camping trip, every backyard BBQ, and Halloween on the front lawns until you moved from Marbro Ave, and every Christmas get together will forever be engraved in my memory. I am so beyond thankful to have had the privileges afforded back then to myself and family. They came from the unwavering kindness and selflessness that Bruce undoubtedly embodied, and I am as grateful as I am disheartened that my children never got a chance to experience meeting such a wonderful man who was so eager to meet them. Thank you for everything Bruce. You will be loved and missed by all who knew you. To everyone in the family, I am so deeply sorry for your loss.
