Our heartfelt condolences to the Gisser family. We are deeply saddened by his passing. I was priviledged to be a part of the Shaare Zion Choir for many years and had a great friendship with Cantor Gisser. He was a great fan of mine and I of him. He will be forever in our memory. We wish his family to be spared further sorrow.

Words can't adequately express our sadness and extend our sincerest condolences to Helen and David, Hyman, Sam and Solomon's entire family. We mourn his passing, and will always relish his close friendship and all that he gave, so generously, to the congregation he served so devotedly.

The entire Margolese family in Florida send their heartfelt sympathy to the Gisser family. We have wonderful mewmories from Bar Mitzvahs and weddings and especially daily services for many, many years where Cantor Gisser told stories of his youth that I will always treasure.Lynn and Stanley Margolese

On behalf of Ed Gelernter (former Shaar Zion student) I wish to express condolenses to the Gisser family. I have heard great things about Cantor Gisser from my father. He still talks about him to this day! May time heal your wounds.

My sincere condolences on the passing of Cantor Gisser. I remember him fondly from going to synagogue back in the 1950's and early 60's. I also remember him and Rabbi Cohen performing at my wedding on October 23, 1960. It is something I'll never forget. The Cantor made it a very memorable moment.
Just in passing, I would like to also mention that my grandfather, the late George Issenman was the founder and president of the Shaarre Zion.
Again my sincere condolences to the family.

We were very saddened to learn of Cantor Gisser's passing. We last visited him at Mount Sinai Hospital at the end of February, and he recognized us.
We remember a magnificent evening he spent in our home, in London, Ontario, a couple of years ago. We will also remember him as a master cantor: a man of dignity, regal bearing, incredible talent and skill, and a great inspiration.
We will miss him. And we extend our profound expression of sympathy to the entire family.
Rose & Bill Klein,
London, Ontario.

I shall always remember Cantor Gisser fondly. My first job, in 1972, was working at the Shaar Zion office with Jacquie Yancovitch, Phil Shears, Rabbi Maurice Cohen, Tilly (Rabbi's secretary) and Rev. Ansbacher. I shall always remember the Cantor and his exhuberant presence. He could be heard singing through the halls of the shul. He was indeed a very kind man. It was always a pleasure to be around him. He will be greatly missed.
I wish his family and friends to be spared further sorrow.
