Carl Morris Obituary
Carl Leon Morris, 90, of Old Fort, NC, passed away on Friday June 22nd, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Morris was born in McDowell County, to the late Carl Washington Morris and Rosa Turner.
He was a member of Vision Baptist Church and was retired from Old Fort Finishing. Carl was also a veteran of the United States Army.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife Frances Ingle Morris, one brother Eston Morris and two sisters Juda Jackson and Jeanette Mac Rae.
Mr. Morris is survived by one son, David Leon Morris of Old Fort; 3 daughters, Diana L Deschner of Washington, Debbie Joyce Morris of Old Fort, Lisa Morris Caylor of Old Fort; one sister, Violet Monteith of Florida; 2 grandchildren, Afton and Matt; and 2 great grandchildren, Canyon and Connor.
The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday June 27th from 11:00 until 12:00 pm prior to the service at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion for Mr. Morris
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm Wednesday June 27th at Kirksey Funeral Home Chapel in Marion with the Reverend Steven Brewer officiating. Burial will follow at McDowell Memorial Park with full military honors.
Kirksey Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the Morris family with arrangements.

Debbie, Lisa, David, Linda and rest of family: Although I am saddened by the passing of uncle C.L.. I am also rejoicing beacause all of you took such good care of him, and he is in heaven with Frances and all the other family members who have passed. I have so many fond memories of being at your house when growing up, Oh yes he will be missed, and all of you are in my thoughts and prayers.. Love all of you so much.
