Some Loving thoughts of my cousin Carol Glover: She was sooo thoughtful to send my 2 daughters, Chrystina & Sharlee, personalized Xmas ornaments for many years when they were younger. I packed them up after having some on our Xmas tree this past Xmas. Her wonderful cross-stitched, white pillow sits in our family-room rocking chair and has red hearts & blue birds design that she sent in 1987 (20 yrs. ago next yr.). She touched soooo many with her gifts.
Carol & I started writing when we were researching our Marquett family tree (her Dad & my maternal grandfather were brothers). This kept us connected, as we kept ea. other updated on family going-ons during my husband's, 'Andy's, Navy career...Then Kathryn joined their family 10 mos. after we had our 1st daughter, Chrystina. We had more to write about!! (Later, I had my youngest daughter, Sharlee, and I had even more to write about!!!)
Then e-mail came along. We constantly kept in touch then, mostly with e-Notes & Jokes. She loved her dog jokes. She was caring enough, tho', knowing I loved cats, to send many of them, too. She had just sent 'Cats & Cookies' in early Jan...Other e-Jokes she sent showed her great sense of humor, esp. 'O,crap!' she sent the week before she passed.
I'll sooo miss her lovely family friendship!!! You'll always be in my heart, Carol!!! @--->---
Your with the (\o/) [angels] now!

Durant and Kathyrn,
Carol was a wonderful mentor and friend to me and so many other girls as the leader of our Senior Girl Scout troop. Now, 20+ years later, I am amazed at how Carol's energy and teachings have influenced my life in such a positive way. I just hope she knew how many lives she touched and inspired with her kindness and devotion. I have a needlepoint about friendship that Carol gave me hanging in my kitchen that I will cherish always. She was truly a dear, wonderful person and I feel so grateful to have known her. My love to you both.

I knew Carol only through the Corgi-L listserv but was her Secret Santa one year and enjoyed making things for her and her corgis and tibbies. She was a great member of the corgi "family of the heart" and will be missed.

Tho I only met Carol a few times at the greenville shows we talked often about rescue of corgi and pems. She was a guiding force in the rescue of corgi, she will be missed by all. The Pack of corgi raise their voices in hommage and I send prayers and condolences to the family at the passing of a Great Lady.
