Carole Drobes Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 31, 2025.
Carole Lee Drobes, born on October 17, 1942, in New Rochelle, NY passed away on May 29, 2025, in Alpharetta, GA, with her husband and children at her side. She was 82 years old.

Carole's life was one of creativity and connection. She found joy and meaning in artistic expression - from performing in local theatre to her prolific works of poetry and painting in her later years. Her love for the arts was deeply communal; she delighted in sharing her enthusiasm with others and fostering connections through creativity.

Carole lives on in the hearts and minds of the all the people she touched, and forever loved by her husband Howard; her children Kimberly and Scott; her grandson Samuel; and her younger sister Randi. Carole was preceded in death by her elder sister Judy.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. A Committal Service will be held on June 2, 2025, at Georgia National Cemetary at 1080 Scott Hudgens Dr. in Canton, GA. The service is at 9:00 am, but please arrive no later than 8:45 am. We encourage anyone who would like to talk about Carole to do so during the service. The service will be a gathering of loved ones sharing their thoughts about her, and is expected to last 30 minutes.

Carole and I met about 20 years ago at UPS. We continued to talk and occasionally meet after we both retired. I will miss her but will forever treasure our friendship.

From the statements about Carole at the service, we all agree that she radiated Happiness. And all in her presence felt that blessing. May her memory perpetuate that feeling of Happiness.

Carole was so caring and kind. Her poetry expressed her deep love for nature and she deeply loved and shared that love with her friends. Her oft messages and words of encouragement will be missed. May her memory be a blessing.

Carole and I would exchange birthday greetings every year and discuss what we had each created over the previous year. The painting she gave to me for my retirement is in a prominent place in our home and she shared several of my poems through her online accounts. Words can´t describe the loss to the world. She had a genuine, beautiful spirit. I will truly miss her.

While painting with Carole almost weekly for eleven years, we became close friends. We shared many wonderful times full of laughter as well as caring for whatever was going on in our lives. I will always treasure my memories of Carole, such a kind, generous and fun-loving human being. Most of all I will miss her very much
