Carolyn "Carol" M. Fries of Beachwood, NJ passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on May 30th, 2018 at the age of 70.

Carol is survived by her spouse of 49 years, John J. Fries of Beachwood, NJ, her children Amy Weston and her husband Ken, and Lori Wainwright and her husband Darrin. She is also survived by her grandchildren Hillary Cicero and her husband Dan, Kassandra "Kassie" Wainwright, Daria "Dolly" Wainwright, Owen and Connor Weston, her great grandchildren Alaina and Kailey Cicero, her sisters Syrilla Lucas, Margie Smith, and brother William Kennedy. Carol is survived by many beloved nieces and nephews, and many beloved friends. Carol is predeceased by her parents Thomas and Anne Kennedy.

Carol was born on May 2nd, 1948 in Trenton, NJ. Carol was a dedicated employee of the Borough of Beachwood, where she retired after 28 years of loyal service. She was formerly employed by Foodtown Supermarket, Emily's Florist, Dover Sewage Authority and Baldanza's Bakery. Carol was an active member of her church, The Presbyterian Church of Toms River, volunteering her time working in the nursery and with the church's youth groups.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Beachwood Volunteer First Aid Squad, whose dedication and service to both Carol and all those in need is greatly appreciated. Carol was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
