Carolyn Rose Cook Goldsborough, 81, passed away on January 8, 2025 at her residence. She is remembered for her dedication and service to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to her family, and to her country.

Carolyn was born in Carpenter, MS on August 2, 1943 to the late Bryan and Jane Drier Cook. Carolyn was a graduate of Jet High School in Vicksburg, MS, and after high school, she enlisted in the United States Air Force. After her service was complete, Carolyn married Gerald Wayne Crimm, Sr. and they had three children. She earned a teaching degree and taught kindergarten for several years at Porters Chapel Academy in Vicksburg.

After the passing of her husband, Carolyn enlisted in the US Army Reserves and had a military career that would span over 2 decades. Carolyn was activated during The Gulf War and served during Operation Desert Storm. She was again activated during the War in Afghanistan and was stationed in Kuwait during Operation Enduring Freedom. It was there in Kuwait that she met, fell in love, and married her husband, Gerald "Jerry" Goldsborough, Sr. In 2005, Carolyn retired from her military service with the rank of Master Sergeant. Carolyn spent the rest of her life, alongside her husband, Jerry, supporting veterans through many different organizations. She was very well known for her service, dedication, care, and compassion to all veterans.

Carloyn was a member of the Monroe County Master Gardeners Club, working tirelessly on many beautification projects throughout the county. Above all, Carolyn was a devout Christian and showed the love of Christ to many. She and Jerry did mission work in their community as well as in China and the Bahama Islands. Carolyn was known throughout the country for her card ministry. She hand wrote words of comfort, care, and encouragement on her cards and mailed to each person that the Lord laid on her heart. She and Jerry were faithful members of Meadowood Baptist Church in Amory. Carolyn's devotion, care, and generosity to her fellow man will be remembered and admired for many years to come.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Gerald "Jerry" Goldsborough, Sr., Amory; daughter, Elizabeth Yvonne Crimm Graves, Seminary, MS; son, Gerald Wayne Crimm, Jr. (Stacy), Egypt Community; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren, with another great-grandchild due in March 2025.

In addition to her parents and first husband, Carolyn is preceded in death by her daughter, Sybil Crimm, and her brother, Joe Cook.
