Carolyn N. Kline, of Chambersburg, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Brookview Menno Haven, Chambersburg. Born Monday, June 24, 1935 in Hagerstown, MD, she was a daughter of the late Ellsworth F. "Babe" and Dorothy C. Staley Lohr. Carolyn was of the Methodist faith. She worked in the Physical Therapy field for many years, and also worked as a Service Advisor in the 70's for Hoffman Chevrolet in Hagerstown, MD. Carolyn was a 1953 graduate of Hagerstown High School, where she was the class reunion Co-Chairman for 50 years. Carolyn took on a caregiver role at a very young age and really enjoyed helping anyone she could in every possible way. Every year she looked forward to donating to Coats for Kids. She hosted bus trips for over 30 years and enjoyed reading and traveling. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Ronald E. Kline; two sons, Kirk D. (Ivy) Sunderland, and William Todd Sunderland, all of Hagerstown, MD; two step sons, Richard E. (Kelly) Kline, Chambersburg, and Roger E. (Karen) Kline, Blandon, PA; one grandchild; nine step grandchildren; seven step great grandchildren; one brother, Steven (Becky) Lohr; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Lohr Lautenslager. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Keystone Family Restaurant, 10530 Buchannan Trail East, Route (16) Waynesboro, PA 17268, with Lay Minister Jay Peterson officiating. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 924 N. Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403.
