Cecil Odom Jr Obituary
Cecil earned certifications from Louisiana Technical College and built a career in the automotive and customer service industries. A man of varied interests, he was a lifetime member of the Elvis Presley Fan Club, a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, and an enthusiastic follower of professional wrestling. He also enjoyed playing poker and appreciated the simple pleasure of a smooth whiskey while trying to be a chess grandmaster.
He is survived by his sister, Nora Presley; his two sons, Anthony Odom and wife Amanda, and Justin Watson and wife Kristy; his five beloved grandchildren: Kasey, Brian, Katilynn, Kristina, and Enola. In recent years, Cecil shared his life with Jeanette Courtney, whose love and care brought him great joy. A heartfelt thank-you is extended to Jeanette and her family for their kindness and support.
The family would also like to express their gratitude to Dr. Joseph C. Jones, MD, and Dr. Basel Kasabali, MD, for their dedicated care over the past two decades.
A small gathering to honor Cecil's life will be held on January 4, 2025 to honor his life with his family. Flowers may be sent to Auld's Funeral Home in Shreveport. Donations in Cecil's memory can be made to Willow Point Baptist Church.
Cecil's warmth and passions will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those he leaves behind.

My dearest love....I don't know how I will go on with you gone. You were the kindest, my loving man I know. You gave me a home when I was homeless. You gave me love and affection and made me the happiest woman alive. We will meet again one day......and as you would say to me ....I love you always and forever.
