Cecil Hamilton Parris, 73, of Piedmont passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017 at his home. Survivors include sons, Gary Parris (Monica) of Piedmont, DeWayne Parris (Margarita) of Loxley, AL., Craig Parris (Kristi) of Piedmont, and Tony Parris (Cindy) of Leesburg; 14 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother, Larry Parris (Victoria) of Piedmont; two sisters, Sarah Rainey (Archie) of Piedmont, and Carolyn Motes (Ben) of Montevallo; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Parris enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by one son, Shane Parris; parents, George and Effie Mae Parris; and several brothers and sisters. At Cecil's request there will be no services.

I first met Cecil about 40 years ago when his son Tony and myself became friends. Late in life as a teen and then an adult I continued this friendship as best I could. Cecil cut me so many brakes while he worked for the P.P.D. OF which I am thankful for...including taking my car keys home until
I sobered up. Great man Great loss.
