Born September 2, 1935 in Darlington County, he was a son of the late Woodrow and Marie Windham Amerson. He served in the United States Navy and retired from Perfection Gear. C.W. was of the Pentecostal Holiness Faith.
Surviving are a son, Durwood Durby (Jane) Amerson, a daughter, Charlene (Mark Ford) Lloyd, all of Lamar, two grandchildren, Brad (Jennifer Hutto) Amerson, Randall Lloyd, a great-grand, Collin Amerson, brothers; Tommy (Leona ) Amerson, William (Nellie) Amerson, Albert Sam (Monica) Amerson, Billy Ray ( Paula) Amerson, Kenny (Diane) Amerson, Joe Amerson; sisters: Mary Amerson, Gwendolyn (Bill Byrd) Carraway, Carolyn (Jakie) Calcutt and a special friend, Kathy Evers.
The family will receive friends from 7-9pm Monday night at Belk Funeral Home in Lamar.
Memorials may be made to the Call to Life Family Worship Center, 301 W. Jackson, St., Lamar, SC 29069
