Charles Barth Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Apr. 13 to Apr. 16, 2023.
Dr Charles (Chuck) F. Barth PhD, aged 87 passed away on February 18th, 2023. Beloved father of Charles, Jr and Mary (Allen, deceased) and grand-father of Marissa Allen. Dear brother of Walter Barth and of the late Henry and John Barth. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by former wives Bonnie (McBride) and Eleanor (Gratcyk), mother of his children. Chuck achieved his Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University in 1971, being the youngest at that time to earn a PhD in Metallurgy and he opted for additional post graduate courses in physics. Dr. Barth led an exciting and noted career in the mechanical engineering and aerospace industries until his retirement. He also applied his engineering skills to be everyone's favorite handyman. Chuck made so many wonderful lifelong friends through his sailing club, too many to mention, who meant a great deal to him. He leaves behind a wonderful legacy.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at the Emerald Necklace Marina in their Scenic Room on Saturday, May 6th, 2023, from 11:00AM - 2:00PM. Located at 1500 Cleveland Metro Park Dr, Lakewood, OH 44107

I knew Chuck from sailing club. He always had a smile and warm greeting for everyone. He was a lot of fun and a generous person.
