Charles Beneventi Obituary
Born on September 1, 1964, in Peoria, Illinois, Chuck was the son of Ruth and Jerry Beneventi. He graduated from Manual High School and went on to serve his country with honor in the United States Navy.
Following his military service, Chuck built a dedicated career working at RP Lumber and Carver Lumber. Known for his strong work ethic and reliability, he earned the respect of colleagues and customers alike throughout his years in the industry.
Chuck's greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Angela "Angie" Beneventi; daughters Kristy (Joe) Seckler, Jordan Brautigam, Brooke (Alex) Tielbar, Mackenzie (Chris) Wilson, and Jenna (Matthew Muller) Beneventi; son Justin (Jessica) Beneventi; and cherished grandchildren: Ella Seckler, Hudson Seckler, Addison Cramm, Oliver Cramm, Elijah Beneventi, Lyanna Tielbar, Keaton Tielbar, and Micah Wilson.
A man of many interests, Chuck found peace in nature-whether camping, casting a line while fishing, pedaling along bike trails, or gliding across the water in his kayak. Yet above all else, he treasured moments spent with family and took immense pride in attending his grandchildren's extracurricular activities.
Despite his tall stature that might have seemed imposing at first glance, Chuck was affectionately known as a "giant teddy bear." His gentle spirit and deep love for both his family and all their dogs left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Jerry Beneventi.
Chuck's legacy lives on through the countless memories shared with those who loved him. May his memory bring comfort to all who were fortunate enough to know him. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 31, 2025, from 05:00 PM to 07:00 PM at the Spring Bay American Legion, Post 1115, located at 500 Legion Lane in East Peoria. Cremation rights have been accorded.

Angie and family,
Ken and I have only been acquainted with your family for a short time. During that time we have seen Charles acctept our daughter and her children as if they were his own. We are grateful for that. We know he will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him and we wished that we would have gotten to know him more. We will be thinking of all of you during this difficult time.

Praying for all the family. Very sad to hear about Charles passing away. I worked with him on and offf at R.P. And had many great memories ! I definitely felt safe with him where ever we were going! I always told him he was my bodyguard. Most of the time he always talked about how he loved his wife and kids and grandkids!And always talked about his adventures with the navy! He will be greatly missed!

I got to know Charles over the years working at RP Lumber. He was a hard worker who loved his family and was very proud of them. He also loved his country and took pride in serving in the navy. He will be missed. Rest easy big guy.

I'm heartbroken to hear of Chuck's passing! Chuck and I were in band together in high school - he was a few years ahead of me, but we stayed close until he went active in the Navy. We kept in touch and he told me of his grand adventures on the USS Coral Sea, and when he came back home, I was honored to have him as best man in my wedding. I will never forget all of the great times we had together. I will miss him so much! My prayers go out to you all, and I pray the Lord will grant you comfort and peace during this time.

What a wonderful life he lived and what a legacy of children and grandchildren! I met Chuck almost 30 years ago and his beautiful wife will always be my dearest friend. We are praying for you all. Our hearts go out to you.
