It was such a joy to be acquainted with Charlie for the past 12 years as members of the Southboro Senior Songsters. What a wonderful voice and sense of humor. And always a gentleman.

My sincerest condolences to the Flood family for their loss. I worked with Charlie at the Worcester Foundation starting in 1973. Everyone who worked with Charlie loved him. He was very generous with his time and his knowledge. He was very good at what he did - I learned so many things from watching him work that when I left the Foundation and would use one of his tips, people thought I was a genius. But it was just me, copying Charlie's technique. He had a wonderful sense of humor and there was a lot of laughing that went on in the labs. Getting to work with Charlie made going to work very enjoyable. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Flood is remembered with great fondness and respect. He and his beloved wife welcomed me with open arms into their home and their activities during those challenging middle school years. I was so happy to reconnect a few years ago with my best friend Susan from those times, and very grateful for the memories we've shared. My heart and prayers are with the extended Flood family. Godspeed, Mr. Flood- I know Mrs. Flood is happy to be with you again.

I sent Charlie a dvd of "Annie" in early Dec. We had a wonderful time talking about the Players Club and Chorus. Phyllis Brockett and Clayta Campbell called him and loved talking about old times. His role as Oliver Warbucks was utterly mesmerizing and his golden voice so beautiful. My husband, J.P., enjoyed singing tenor with Charlie, I'm so sad for your family. With much love, Peggy Clark

We couldn't have asked for better neighbors than Jan and Charlie. We will always cherish our memories of our trips to the Pops at Christmas and luncheons at his favorite place-The Wayside Inn. Most of all we will dearly miss him on every July 4th.He is at peace with Jan.

Our hearts are heavy on Robin Road. Charlie was a great neighbor and friend. It warmed my heart when Kaleigh opened his Christmas card this year and exclaimed it's always her favorite card to receive. Wishing for peace and comfort for his entire family as they wrap themselves in warm memories. ~Love Nancy, John, Kaleigh and Sunny

Dear Flood families:
I was so sorry to read of Charlie's passing...condolences to all of you...he will be missed by so many of us....I'm so glad that we got a chance to hear him sing 2 songs at the Sr. Ctr. Christmas party....that & remembering all the years singing in the Westorough Community Chorus with he & your Mom bring a smile to my heart....I can only pray that the memories you have from o'er the years will do the same for you all...Faith's Heavenly Choir is growing by leaps & bounds...so many years he sang in her earthly choir & now she has him back...brings comfort knowing he sings eternally with your Mom & knowing we WILL hear him again...
God bless & keep you & give you strength to face the days ahead & may Charlie rest in peace.....
