Charles Jeanblanc Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 12, 2024.
Charles (Chuck) Wesley Jeanblanc, born on December 13, 1952, in Amboy, IL, passed away on February 3, 2024, in La Feria, TX, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and community service. He was 71 years old.

Chuck is survived by his two devoted sons, Charles Wesley Jr. (Wes) and his wife Nicole Jeanblanc, and Joshua and his wife Lisa Jeanblanc. He was the proud grandfather of four grandchildren, Kate and Jack Jeanblanc, and Lauren and Christian Jeanblanc. Additionally, he leaves behind his beloved pet Benjamin, who brought him much joy and companionship.

Among his siblings, Chuck leaves behind Steven (Karen) Jeanblanc, Cristine (Patrick) Mulvany, and James Jeanblanc, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss him dearly.

Chuck dedicated a significant portion of his life to serving others. He retired from Exelon, where he worked diligently, and was also a retired pastor of the United First Church in Amboy, IL. His commitment to his faith and his congregation left a lasting impact on those he served.

Chuck was a Master Mason and Lifetime member of the Illinois Central Lodge no. 178, where he was a Past Master. His involvement in the Masonic community exemplified his dedication to brotherhood and service.

Chuck had a passion for history and the great outdoors. It was evident to all who knew him, reflecting his curious and adventurous spirit.

While many knew Chuck as an avid car enthusiast, he was so much more than that. He was a pillar of strength, wisdom, and comfort to anyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His genuine kindness and unwavering support touched the lives of countless individuals, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him.

In addition to his professional and community achievements, Chuck's greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He cherished every moment spent with his sons, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren, creating cherished memories that will be treasured forever.

Chuck's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved him dearly, but his spirit will live on through the memories he created and the lives he touched. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A celebration of life will be held in the Amboy area during the summer of 2024.

Rest in peace, Dad. Your legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire us all.

He installed a radio in my pickup truck and in the process thrilled my daughter. His work and handling of my insecurities blew her mind.

I remember how much fun we all had at our high school Senior picnic at White Pines. We will miss Chuck at our class reunions as well. Sending condolences to his family and friends. Phyllis (Ramsdell) Sutton
