Dear Family and Friends,
I was so sad to hear of Chad's passing. What a horrible loss this is for his friends and family. I had the chance to see Matt a few times over the years, but Chad I hadn't seen in quite a while. But, I have some extremely fond memories of him in high school. Although I was two years younger then him , during those years he always treated me as an equal and was such a kind heart. Matt & the entire Mateyak Family: My deepest sympathy in your loss of Chad. My wife (Melissa Tyler) told me this morning and I still remain in shock. Although I have not seen him since graduation, I can only think of growing-up with him and what a good friend he was to me. From elementary school, through baseball and the bugelow in summertime, straight through to high school - he had a very kind soul. The memories will remain.
I always found it funny that Matt and I always seemed to be at odds when we were kids and Chad was so damn nice. After highschool the roles reversed, I didn't see much of Chad, but Matt and I ended up getting along famously...I will always value each of their friendships dearly - be strong Matt, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
