Jan and Jack,

My deepest condolences go out to you and the rest of the family. Just over ten years ago Chuck hired me to work at Cerner. He was a wonderful person to work for. His soft spoken leadership, his knowledge, his sense of humor and the way he always made people feel comfortable was his trademark. Associates and Clients always wanted to say “hi” to Chuck anytime he made a hospital visit. I will remember Chuck in my prayers.

Dear Jan and Jack: Chuck was a classmate of mine at Princeton. As freshman and kids from Pittsburgh, we got to know each other. At that time at Princeton, we had a saying about people. The best you could say is "he's a good man." Chuck was a very good man and I'm sure a good husband and father. You are in my prayers. John Hawkins

Jan and Jack, please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of your husband, father and I am sure best friend. I first me Chuck when I was working at UPMC and he was one of our Cerner Executives assigned to the project. He was always there if I needed anything, but never in the way. I was then fortunate to work closer with Chuck when I went to work for Cerner and helped to cover some of his clients in the Boston, Connecticut, NY and New England area. I will always remember how intelligent he was, but his soft spoken aproach to conversations was a trademark. He will be missed, but know that he will be remembered by many whose lives he touched.

I had the pleasure of working with/for Chuck at Cerner for a number of years. He was a great person and we had lots of laughs. We played golf a few times togethe and I think he always beat me - not by much - i gave him too many strokes. My wife Carol and I also had the pleasure to spend time with Chuck and Jan in St. Johns, VI on a trip sponsored by Cerner. We had a great time.

My thoughts and prayers are extended to the family of Chuck. Although I knew Chuck on a professional level as a member of the BMH family, I had the privilege of seeing Chuck's secret talent during the filming of our service excellence video last year. He was a star both on and off the camera, a great sport and true gem. Thanks for the great memories.
