Gonna miss you Dad. You made me the Man I am today. It's funny to me now, but when I think back to the long hours and hard work. I use say to myself, I am not going to be a truck driver when I grow up. Nevertheless, I followed your footsteps. I think God for you being my farther down here on earth. You the reason, when my truck break down on side of the road, I can fix it and keep it moving. I still remember you telling me how to fix my truck one last time. From your hospital bed. I was broke down in Mobile Al on the water I -10. I had just came from visiting you. You have prepared well before you left.

Our loss on this side of Heaven is so great, because you were such a good father. We love you so very much daddy.

You were a very good husband, father, son, brother, cousin, uncle, neighbor, mentor and friend to so many people. We could trust you and knew you would do us good.

You were our Good Samaritan, Our Neighbor. You never passed us by, but instead stopped by and made our lives better.
The Bible: Luke 10:29-37

You understood what made relationships work:
Not going to bed angry holding on to no grudges, and putting love into action each day as you lived your life by sincerely loving people through what you could do to help them with your physical labor, time, finances and wisdom.

Daddy you were one of my best friends, momma is the other , it has been my blessing to have you for 60 years as my father, mentor and friend.

God did not forsake us, because He blessed you to be in the earth with us for 86 years and 10 months. He blessed your marriage to momma for 61 years and 6 months. God Blessed You and Us, and we are Thankful.

We don´t have any regrets because we spent many great times with you, but when you have a good thing, like you daddy, you don´t want to let it go.

We can´t help but want more time with you, because you were so very good to us.

We love you so very much daddy.

We don´t miss you because of the things you would and could do for us, you taught us well daddy, but we miss your laughter, your smile, spending time with you and the joy of your presence with us here in the earth.

We know you are with God, we know you are experiencing joy unexplainable, we know you are rejoicing with your parents and loved ones who went home to Heaven before you, we know you are walking again and even running and jumping for joy!!
Even though we miss you Daddy, we are Thankful you are enjoying Heaven in The Presence of God!!

We are Thankful for your time with us in the earth and are happy you enjoyed your life with us in the earth as well.
We have a treasure chest full of good memories and good times spent with you Daddy. We had so many great times together. We love you so very much Daddy

Yes Daddy, I´m believing I will marry a good man as you requested. Thank you for praying for us to have good husbands. You set the standards really high daddy and then God bumped the standards up higher.

And Yes Daddy I will be on time from now on, because you said when you got to Heaven you was going to have a talk with The Good Lord and ask Him to make sure I´m on time for things from now on.

Your Daughter Kim
We love you so very much Daddy

My uncle Charles was full of fun. Never ever can I remember him being mean/strict. He was my Popeyes Chicken partner. We both always be looking for the fried chicken at our family gatherings. I am so going to miss him dearly. Rest in Peace Uncle Sycamore.

Uncle Sycamore you will truly be missed. My dad your brother has always reminded me of you. You two are always joking and making people laugh. Your laugh was so contagious I can hear it in my spirit now. You have gained your ultimate wings now. God needed you more and you were ready to take your place on the throne. Continue being an Angel for Aunt Blanche, Kim, Peaches, and Charlie.

Charles Leo Simmons, Sr. from Upper Marlboro, Maryland and I met in March 1960 at Moon Light Inn in Waldorf, Maryland. He reached out for me on the dance floor. He was the man of my dreams and the love of my life. He always had a smile. He was the best son, brother, uncle, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, neighbor, friend, co-worker and more. I will cherish his memories always. Gone but not forgotten. Your Faithful and Loyal Wife, Blanche Luckett Simmons.
